Tomato and Lentil Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 KnorrBeef cubes
  • 7.5 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 100 ml cream
  • 5 grams sugar
  • 1 cup lentils boiled
  • 1 onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • cooking oil
  • water
  • salt

Get cooking

  1. Heat cooking oil in a deep pot and gently fry the garlic and onion until soft

  2. Add the fresh chopped tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, Knorr pasty cubes and fry for a further 5 minutes stirring occasionally

  3. Add water and lentils, stir well, bring to the boil then turn down the heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally

  4. Add the cream and sugar and allow to simmer for a further 5 minutes

  5. Garnish and serve while hot with chapati or rice
